day 2

 

The first day at office, i was already very tired after only few hours. My back hurts and i couldnt even concentrate surfing internet. Good thing was that i could try out the Coffee machine, which has about 15 kinds of coffe drinks. i constantly tried one and another and ended up with 7 or more cups of coffee  and 3 cups of tea before i was out of work.

Gerally speakng, the first office day wasnt so busy. After i arrived there, one secretary, a young guy called Hennrik, guided me around the whole buidling and met all the staff. There are departments in charge of the infrastructure of the community, wind power program, economics and business investment and culture. What i did was mainly googling everything while drinking tea or coffee, or checking FB, Xiaonei and some news. It was almost the same thing i would do at home. The working environment was rather free. I could have break whenever i want, in addtion to the morning break at 9 am and lunch break at 12. There were free break, cheese, butter and some vegetables during morning break, when people from different department sitting together and have a short talk. During lunch time I can either eat own lunch or have lunch buffet at kantine with only 20 kr. There were different kinds of free tea and coffee availble for the whole day. Around 3pm most of people left to home, so did I.

Today i got my own table with computer and phone. I feel like i am a real worker right now. My main work was still googling and trying to find some impressive, sucessful culture events in other places. Well, most of time i was checking news and FB while tasting the remaining kinds of coffee and tea:P

At 2pm everybody was running home because it is Friday :D

 

After the alarm rang twice, i struggled to get up at 6:30 with tired body. Then i hurried to take shower and a simple breakfast..Around 7:45 my Danish buddy+classmate Anne drove me to meet my boss Carsten, who later on showed that he is very friendly and talktive. Then my boss drove me to Herning, a small city about 60km away from Ringkøbing, as we had to  meet some people from Herning kommune.

 

The meeting started with warm coffee and danish bread (there is a certain name of it). This is a very common way the Danes do when starting everything and i do appreciate it. After coffee, we had short introduction of ourselves. I was surprised that some of them were interested in my background. Then my boss guided the meeting into real themes, which are all about the national park in Ringkøbing as well as how to combine culture events with the national park festival. However, the funny thing is that they haven't figure out what kind of culture events they should have yet, so the following discussion was about the possibilities of the events and how to spend the budget. Finally i got my task for next week that i have to search all good culture events from all over the world combing with their local nature so that they can have some inspirations from that. Sounds simple work cause i can just google everything but at the same time it is time-consuming...

 

From tomorrow i will go to office evey day and  spend at least 30 hours per week, even though my boss said that it is not necessary with the hours i spend in office and they wouldnt check so seriously. I got my own tables with computer, telephone and stuff so my real work starts NOW! Im kinda curious and excited by real job cause i had no such experience before. However, i do remember what my friends said to me about the office work that after only few days , you can feel each hour is like one whole day because it is so borning! Well this is my first time try and it is in Denmark, so i still got enthusiasm for it. Let's see what will happen.

 

Everything is new and i still cant smell the familarities around me, but i hope i can get used to the life here and know some nice people, especially those who can make good cakes :D

Jeg savner Aalborg...

 

刚刚搬到丹麦西边的 Ringkøbing，真正明白设么叫小城市，也明白为设么Aalborg是丹麦的大城市了~ 这里的超市居然7点就关门了，我还踩着Aalborg 8点的时间晃去呢。。。

 

来的一路上转了2次火车，经常做到最后整个火车就我一个人，静悄悄的吓人~要不就是火车站方圆1里没有声音，害怕得哪出 杏仁来嚼~

 

住的地方很好很满意，房间很舒适，而且被子，靠椅都齐全，连靠椅套都是全新的~ 洗手间和我原来的比叫奢侈阿~~整个Campus 都是给实习的或者是给公司作项目的人住，所以可以说大家都在一条船上了，所以彼此都很友好~ 住的Campus 很大，很干净，厨房都有洗碗机~
